Summary

Insitec ALISS is a flexible but robust particle size analyzer for industrial use, available as:

Automated package – primarily for use in an automated lab environment

Manual package – for use by process operators in a process environment.

Insitec ALISS can measure a large sample volume, minimizing the errors attributable to unrepresentative samples. No sample preparation is required – material is simply loaded into the integrated dry powder feeder, which has been designed by leading sample and powder transport specialists. The analytical process is essentially de-skilled – load the sample and press a button – eliminating any error associated with operator variability and minimizing training requirements. Reproducible particle size data is produced in seconds in a form that can be easily customized to meet user requirements.

Ideal for the intensive analysis required during process optimization studies and commissioning, Insitec ALISS is also valuable for on plant QC applications. The ability of the system to measure large sample volumes makes it a useful tool during SPC implementation. The results can be fed directly into the plant control system and the analyzer can be easily upgraded for on-line analysis. The ongoing potential of Insitec ALISS for process efficiency improvements is therefore significant.

Laser diffraction - Established sensor technology Proven laser diffraction technology lies at the heart of the Insitec ALISS system, which employs the well-established Malvern Insitec analyzer. The technique of laser diffraction is now the standard in most particulate processing industries and has been pioneered and developed by Malvern for more than 20 years. The robustness of the technique ensures that the Insitec sensor copes easily with the rigors and demands of an industrial process environment. The sensor's changeable lenses allow the tuning of the instrument resolution to the needs of the process. The instrument is watertight and dustproof, and certified to industrial protection rating IP65.

A rugged industrial solution

The Insitec ALISS is designed from the outset for industrial use. The rugged construction and robust technology reflect the exacting demands placed on analytical instrumentation being run by operators in a harsh processing environment. Capable of making a measurement in just one minute an Insitec ALISS can make more than a quarter of a million measurements every year. Maintenance requirements are minimal - important for both automated lab and process applications. The instrument, the process interface, analysis software, automation and data reporting can all be customized to meet the unique needs of individual clients.
