What are Malvern Quality Audit Standards?

Malvern's Quality Audit Standards have been produced to provide users of Malvern particle size analysers with a reliable one-shot polydisperse transfer standard to enable them to check the performance of their particle sizers and sample dispersion units for the whole working life of their systems.

Each Quality Audit Standard is supplied as a pack of 10 one-shot bottles of 15 to 150 m glass beads of the right weight for the individual sample dispersion units to be tested and each pack includes data sheets giving pass/fail criteria, detailed measurement protocols and MSDS.

The relative standard deviation on the Dv50 obtained from a series of bottle-to-bottle comparisons carried out on a single sizer system has been established as 0.22%. This is within the repeatability that can be expected from repeat measurements of a single well-dispersed sample recirculating within the measurement system.
