Contaminant and Impurity Identification

Conventional NIR spectroscopic techniques provides only a spectral superposition of all the chemical constituents (an 'average' spectrum). By contrast, NIR Chemical Imaging supplies complete spectral information at each pixel. The result is a technique with sensitivity that is directly proportional to the number of pixels and the image magnification. Even minute quantities of impurities or contaminants can be detected.
