Many laboratories need to measure their samples in dispersants other than water and need to minimize the solvent usage as much as possible.
In some cases, sample materials are not plentiful and a smaller volume sample dispersion unit is a sensible choice to minimize sample consumption while retaining the benefits of having a pumped and stirred recirculation system.
Dispersion Type
Wet, Capacity 50 – 120 ml
Dispersion Mechanism
Continuously variable single shaft pump and stirrer.
Operation
Pump/stir manually controlled by stand-alone tacho control unit with digital read-back. SOPs in Mastersizer 2000 software provide appropriate user prompts for the measurement of specified samples to assist adherence to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and ensure reproducibility of measurements. Manual fill/drain/clean.
Solvent Compatibility
The circulation path consists of the following materials: Viton ® fluoroelastomer (seals), 316 stainless steel and PTFE/Peek ® Optional Perlast® perfluoroelastomer window seals are available for maximum solvent capability.
